Pitching in 123 1/3 innings for the Captains, Grilli managed 100 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.79. Pitching for the Grizzlies in eight games, Grilli had a 2-3 record and 5.14 ERA. In 1998, he was named All-Star in Texas League.
